Homework program OFHS

The Oak Flats High School (OFHS) after school homework program is open to all OFHS students and runs every Wednesday afternoon (from 2:40pm to 4pm), between Week 3 and the 2nd last week of each term.

The after school homework program can serve four major functions:

  • improve academic achievement
  • increase safety and supervision
  • enhance cultural and community identification and appreciation
  • develop social skills and increased competency

The program typically addresses one or more of these functions, with the focus varying by design and because of students and community needs.

Several teachers attend from a variety of subject areas to assist students with classwork, assignments, exam preparation, and essay writing.

This is a great opportunity for students to further reinforce concepts and develop better understanding of class work.
