Bell times
Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.
It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.
Our bell times
At Oak Flats High School, each day begins at 8:30 am with Period 1, followed by roll call. On Tuesdays, we hold our weekly assembly or extended roll call, so the bell times are adjusted and the school day finishes earlier at 2:00 pm. Thursday is our whole-school sport day, with students heading to sport after second break and finishing at 2:30 pm. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, lessons run as normal and school concludes at 2:40 pm.

Roll call
Roll call begins after period 1 each day. The roll call groups are organised by year, alphabetically. You will be allocated a roll call room and teacher.
During roll call you will:
- have your name marked for attendance
- hand in any absentee letters
- have daily notices read
- have your uniform checked to ensure it meets the school uniform policy.
